Lux Texas Ranch Guesthouse Phase I
Introducing a versatile Texas ranch guest house, meticulously designed to serve as a multi-functional space for family, and guests. The vision for this project was to create a beautiful and inspiring environment that could transform from a serene cozy guest house during to a beautiful retreat for evenings and weekends, offering a quiet escape from the hustle of the main house or the perfect setting for family game nights.
Inspired by relaxed organic European aesthetics and the principles of Wabi Sabi, we drew from an extensive collection of design books focused on pared-back and slow living. The result is a harmonious blend of new and uncommon materials, used in innovative ways to create a unique and design-forward sanctuary that feels like a luxurious vacation destination for visiting guests.
Embracing experimentation and creativity, we initially explored a contrasting look for the guest house, featuring deep, dark, moody green built-ins that showcased artwork in unconventional ways. In phase ll we went from bold and moody to bright, airy, and organic modern aesthetic.
The final design showcases artifacts and collected treasures from around the world, many of which were discovered during monthly visits to local antique stores and flea markets. These cherished finds add a personal touch and a sense of history to the space, making it all the more inviting and captivating.
